Frequently asked questions

We are happy to assist you and invite you to contact us at any time if you have any questions before your Ayurveda stay.

Is there a laundry service during an Ayurveda treatment?
Yes, a laundry service is available to our Ayurveda guests during their stay.
Is railway noise noticeable at the Ayurveda Resort?
The railway line is about 35 meters from the resort. A high wall and our front yard separate the two. The main building is completely soundproofed from the street with extra-thick walls. Additionally, a spacious hallway separates the guest rooms from the exterior wall.
All our guest rooms face the sea, so during your Ayurvedic treatment you will only hear the soothing sound of the surf – for a truly relaxing experience.
Are there shops near the Ayurveda Resort or how far is it on foot to the next town?
There are only shops selling consumer goods in the immediate vicinity. The nearest larger town is about 15 minutes by tuk tuk, it takes about 40 minutes on foot depending on your fitness level.
What options are there in terms of evening design options?
There are several high-quality hotels in the immediate vicinity that also welcome external guests. However, for our Ayurveda guests, we recommend enjoying a relaxed and peaceful stay to optimally support the treatment.
What is the weather like during the green season in Sri Lanka and when is the best time to travel?
The rainy season on the southwest coast starts in May and peaks from May to July. It usually gets friendlier from August. The dry season lasts from November/December to April, meaning that the driest travel season for Sri Lanka is between December and February.
The temperatures are summery all year round and ideal for an Ayurveda holiday. Due to natural changes, the weather is sometimes not entirely predictable - yet the rainy season is also very pleasant: The slightly fresher air and stronger sea breeze make the treatments particularly pleasant. During this time, we can also often offer our Ayurveda guests more flexibility when it comes to treatment times.
How long does it take to get from the airport to Ayurveda Resort?
The journey from the airport to Ayurveda Shunyata Villa takes approximately 2.5 hours and is mostly via the new highway.
