The Ayurveda Shunyata Villa is mostly visited by guests from German-speaking countries.

The railway line is located approximately 35 meters inland from our property. Between us and the tracks are a high wall and our front courtyard. The main house is fully sound-insulated on the street-facing side with extra-thick walls. In addition, a spacious hallway separates the guest rooms from the outer wall of the main building.

All our guest rooms face the sea, where the only sound you hear is the soothing ocean waves — allowing you to fully enjoy your Ayurveda cure.

Induruwa Beach is still a beautiful, small and quiet beach. Beach boys and beach sellers are very rare here. Ensuring peace and quiet remains that way, this is one of the primary tasks of the Hotel Association on Induruwa Beach.

Our beach area is very clean, as the surrounding hotels and we take care of it every day.

There are only shops selling consumer goods in the immediate vicinity. The nearest larger town is about 15 minutes by tuk tuk, it takes about 40 minutes on foot depending on your fitness level.

There are still a few high-quality hotels in the immediate vicinity, which are also happy to welcome evening guests from other hotels. Cultural events are also regularly offered here.

The rainy season here on the southwest coast starts in May and peaks from May to July. It usually gets friendlier from August. The dry season starts in November/December and lasts until April. This means that the driest travel season for Sri Lanka is from December to February. However, global climate change is also affecting us and that is why we too can no longer rely on the weather. However, we have summer temperatures all year round, which are ideal for an Ayurveda vacation. The rainy season is therefore no less suitable for Ayurveda cures, as the slightly fresher air and stronger sea breeze make the treatments very pleasant. In line with the bookings made during this period, there is also always the opportunity during this travel period that we can accommodate our Ayurveda guests with more flexibility regarding the usual treatment times.

A selection of specialized literature is available for you at our office, which we are happy to borrow on request.

Our Ayurveda doctors speak English, but our German guest services would be happy to provide you with a translation at any time.

Old briefs or so-called disposable briefs that can be disposed of afterwards are best.

The number and type of treatments is tailored to individual needs by our Ayurveda doctors prescribed and are usually approximately 5-7 treatments.

An treatments are about 20-30 minutes, but this varies depending on the treatment.

We usually try to plan it so that you have all applications in one go so that you still have enough time for yourself and the opportunity for a short trip.

Here we only charge for an additional spa day (without accommodation). This package includes:

• on the day of arrival of your Ayurveda cure all treatments and offers, including spa drinks, breakfast and lunch.
• on the day of departure of your Ayurveda cure all offers, treatments, including spa drinks, lunch and, if necessary, dinner.

Please understand that our prices are Package prices. There is therefore no right to reimbursement of individual services that have not been used.

Your room is ready for occupancy and your treatment starts on the day of arrival at 14:00 with check-in and the subsequent welcome massage in the afternoon (if you arrive by 16:00). Since our villa has only 5 residential units and the capacity on our site is very limited, especially on arrival and departure days (unfortunately we do not have a closed lounge or relaxation room as in the larger hotels, or additional rooms for early arrivals, which is particularly challenging when the weather is unstable in off-season), we are generally unable to offer early check-in or advance stay on our property when booking.

The earliest possible time to arrive at Shunyata Villa is from 12:00, with the option of having Ayurvedic lunch with us on the beach at 13:00 for example, and then moving into your accommodation unit afterwards. This is for your information to take into account when booking your flight.
If an early arrival cannot be avoided, it is possible to take an airport taxi (either available after arrival at the airport, numerous providers, or, for example, at www.taxicab.lk) to one of the nearby airport hotels in order to gently arrive in Sri Lanka during the morning. We will then be happy to arrange a pick-up from the airport hotel or the location of your choice by our driver.

In a few cases, the accommodation unit you have booked is already available early in the morning. However, we can only confirm this option shortly before arrival, when we can see what the further booking situation will be. In this case, we would simply get back to you without being asked.
(Early check-in in exceptional cases 60 euros (rooms 1 and 2) or 70 euros (rooms 3, 4 and 5) per person for single occupancy in Junior Suite No. 4 and 5, an additional 30 euros).

Your treatment ends on the day of departure with the Say-Goodbye massage in the morning, followed by Check-out circa 10:30 a.m.. Depending on your departure dates, you are welcome to spend the rest of the morning on our beach after checking out of your room, and also enjoy a last Ayurvedic lunch with us at 13:00 for half the price of 12.50 euros.

We have shower facilities on site. If a departure late in the evening or early night cannot be avoided and you would like to spend the entire day of departure with us, there is of course the option of booking the departure day as another full spa day (i.e. a full treatment day including full Ayurvedic catering and the accommodation unit is of course available).

All our rooms have power adapters.

All of our rooms are equipped with the following components: Mosquito net, hair dryer, telephone, Internet and, on request, mini hi-fi system with iPod station.

yours Ayurveda cure starts at 14:00 on the day of arrival at check-in.

Your Ayurveda cure ends withcheck-out time  at 10:30am on the day of departure.

All nights in the booked rooms, Ayurvedic meals, spa drinks, as well as the treatments and offers of your chosen Ayurveda cure which are between check-in and check-out time.

Day of arrival: If you arrive on time, you will receive a welcome drink in the afternoon between 2 and 5 pm, a one-hour welcome treatment, followed by spa drinks such as tea, coconut water, mineral water, yoga lessons (if offered this afternoon) and the Ayurvedic dinner at 7 pm.

Day of departure: Breakfast is served as usual at 8:00 and between 9:00 and 10:30 you will receive a one-hour say-good-by massage, as well as spa drinks of your choice. If you leave before 8:00 AM, you will receive a breakfast package along the way.

This is a package price for 13 nights, which also includes the services on the day of arrival and departure.
