Deceleration against stress in everyday life
Slowing down in everyday life can reduce stress. Create conscious breaks, slow down and be mindful of everything you do. Treat yourself to moments of deep breathing and concentration.

“If you're in a hurry, take a detour. ”
Decelerate! Many of us know this saying from Zen Buddhism, but who still thinks of it in the hustle and bustle of everyday life?
Slowing down the stress of everyday life is certainly an issue that concerns many of us. Are you also one of those contemporaries who are usually running and literally overtaking themselves? Speed is required in our society, but it is often more effective and healthier to do things more consciously, more slowly and more mindfully.
that team of Ayurveda Shunyata Villa ~ Sri Lanka has put together a few instructions for you to get back to yourself and in real life.
Slowing down is about specifically and consciously creating breaks to take a deep breath and to slow down the pace when completing tasks so that we can concentrate and enjoy doing things.
Anyone who calculates their commute so narrowly in the morning that they only reach them panting and “slightly annoyed” is entering a vicious circle from which they may not be able to get out of for the whole day. In this case, it's time to check the timing and — very importantly — plan buffer times.
Slowing down also means consciously dedicating yourself to a task and really just concentrating on it and carrying out this task mindfully.
Whenever you notice that your mind is somewhere else again or that you have tense up, consciously breathe in and out a few times, relax, close your eyes for a moment and come back to NOW.
Brain researchers and psychologists know that the “average person” only consciously carries out around 5% of daily tasks. When we start doing the things we are currently doing with more mindfulness, we can gradually increase the proportion of life lived consciously in the here and now and enjoy more. This also gives us a much greater chance of becoming more caring when dealing with ourselves again.
You can also regard deceleration as a kind of respect for yourself when you free yourself from the unworthy feeling of being rushed in this way.
A wonderful tool for a more conscious life and targeted breaks in everyday life is Bell of mindfulness. It is available free of charge as an app for android And similarly for the iphone.
You can set the time intervals at which it sounds as you would like, for example, that it sounds every 30 minutes or every hour. Then take a few deep and conscious breaths, check your posture — how are you sitting or standing straight, tense or loose — then exhale and let go consciously.
With this in mind, the team at Ayurveda Shunyata Villa ~ Sri Lanka wishes you a healthy, conscious and relaxed life. 🙂
